Scheme for Integrated Textile Park (SITP)

Silk Samagra: Integrated Scheme for Development of Silk Industry
Objective: Enhancing silk productivity and quality through research and development while empowering tribal families.
Key Points:
- Focuses on R&D interventions.
- Empowers tribal families, including women, through sericulture activities.
- Comprises four parts: Research and development, Training, Technology transfer and IT Initiatives, Quality certification system.
- Involves collaboration with various national and international research institutes.
Amended Technology Upgradation Fund Scheme (ATUFS)
Objective: Promoting business and exports by facilitating technology upgradation in manufacturing.
Key Points:
- Credit-linked scheme promoting Make in India and Zero Defect manufacturing.
- Provides one-time capital subsidy for benchmarked machinery.
- Administered by nodal financial institutions.
Powertex India Scheme
Objective: Boosting infrastructure and modernization in the power loom sector.
Key Points:
- Provides financial assistance to economically weaker power loom units.
- Includes components like In-situ Upgradation of Plain Powerlooms, Group Workshed Scheme, etc.
Scheme for Capacity Building in Textile Sector (Samarth)
Objective: Providing demand-driven, placement-oriented skilling programs to promote job creation in the textile sector.
Key Points:
- Covers the entire textile value chain except spinning & weaving in the organized sector.
- Aims to address skill deficiencies and needs through NSQF compliant programs.
- Includes mandatory post-placement tracking and concessional credit for self-employment under Pradhan Mantri MUDRA Yojana.
