PPSC Eligibility Criteria

PPSC Age Limit

It is expected that the notification for 2023 would be the same as last year’s. Please note that the information provided below is specific to the previous cycle and includes the exceptions to the PPSC age limit.

  • The PPSC exam has a 21-year-old minimum age requirement for applicants.
  • The PPSC examination has a maximum age requirement of 37.

Those who meet all the requirements can apply for the positions. The determination of eligibility is based on factors including nationality, age relaxation, education level, etc. Below, each of them has been covered.

PPSC Age Relaxation

PPSC Education Qualification

  • The candidate must hold a bachelor’s degree in any field from a reputable college or university.
  • While pursuing the qualifying degree, the candidate might be allowed to sit for a preliminary exam.
  • No candidate shall be eligible to take the preliminary competitive examination unless when has passed the matriculation examination with Punjabi as one of the compulsory or elective subjects, or any other examination in the Punjabi language that may be specified by the Government from time to time.
  • The terms “recognised university” and “institution” as used in the Punjab Civil Services (General and Common Conditions of Service) Rules of 1994 must have the same meanings for the purposes of eligibility for the exam.

PPSC Physical Standard

Candidates if applied for a position as a deputy superintendent of police (grade-II), you’ll be expected to carry out a number of duties, as 1600-meter race will feature male competitors: The 800-meter run for women will have a time restriction of 7 minutes, 30 seconds (one attempt). completed in 4 minutes and 45 seconds (on one try).

  • Candidates for the Long Jump must clear a minimum height of 3.60 metres on three tries for men and 3.00 metres on three attempts for women.
  • Male applicants must clear a minimum height of 1.15 metres three times, while female applicants must clear a minimum height of 1.00 metres three times.
  • Only male applicants will be needed to make three attempts to climb a 2.0-meter vertical rope from the ground.
  • The Shuttle requires competitors to sprint five times in 20 seconds between two parallel lines spaced ten metres apart (one try only).
  • Each 180-minute paper will be an explanatory one. The time allotted for each paper will be extended by 30 minutes for candidates who are blind or visually impaired. There must be an attempt on each of the seven papers.
