The Maharashtra Public Service Commission (MPSC) sets the eligibility criteria for the various examinations it conducts. In this article, we will detail the MPSC age limits, educational prerequisites, physical fitness standards, and other eligibility-related information for different exams.

MPSC Eligibility Criteria 2023

In response to the COVID-19 lockdown situation, the MPSC candidates were granted a one-year extension for taking the exam, effective from November 10th, 2021. Regarding the number of attempts allowed for the MPSC State Service Exam, the commission has released an official notice online.

Applicants for these exams must be Indian citizens, with the exception of certain eligibility requirements applicable to residents of Maharashtra State. Maharashtra residents who have resided in the state for more than ten years are eligible for certain reservations. Proficiency in Marathi, both in speech and writing, is a mandatory requirement for applying for these examinations. MPSC Eligibility Criteria 

On the commission’s official website, https://mpsc.gov.in, you may find information on the common qualifying requirements and reservation data for MPSC recruitment exams. On the website, candidates can click “General Instructions to Candidates.” It can be found by clicking the first link under “Competitive Examination” on the left side of the page.

The candidates must be citizens of India in order to be eligible for the MPSC exams. Here are the specifics of the nationality eligibility requirements.

  • According to MPSC qualifying requirements, candidates must be residents of Maharashtra in order to qualify for age concessions, reservations, etc.
  • Candidates must also pass the necessary competency exam and speak and write Marathi well.
  • The Examination Notification/Advertisement includes a complete list of MPSC eligibility requirements, including age restrictions, educational requirements, and physical fitness requirements.
  • Candidates must be well versed with the given eligibility conditions in the notification carefully.

MPSC Educational Qualification

Applicants may apply for these tests if they meet the educational requirements listed below for MPSC exams:

  • He/she must be efficient in Marathi
  • A Graduation degree from a recognized university/collage or an equivalent qualification.
  • Candidates in their final year of graduation degree will also eligible for applying.

According to the post-specific requirements, the MPSC Eligibility is evaluated in the official notification for the State Service Test (Prelims) 2020–21. Each job has a different qualifying criteria because MPSC exams are taken for a variety of occupations and services (including educational qualification, physical fitness, etc.). Few positions require subject-specific knowledge in accordance with the Maharashtra Public Service Commission’s regulations.

MPSC Physical Measurement

Those who are interested in applying for various MPSC positions must meet the physical fitness/measurement standards. When submitting an application for jobs like DSP, ACP, etc., it is imperative that you meet the MPSC Physical Requirements specified below.

  • DySP (Dy Superintendent of Police) post minimum height of 165 cm (for males) is required
  • Candidates who are female, minimum height required is 157 cm.
