Approximately 59% of the country’s land is at risk of experiencing earthquakes of moderate to very high intensity. Floods and river erosion pose threats to about 12% of the land, totaling over 40 million hectares. Along the 7,516 km coastline, around 5,700 km is susceptible to cyclones and tsunamis.
