UPSC IAS Cutoff 2023 – Stages of IAS cut off & Previous years cut off
UPSC Civil Services exam has three stages – prelims, mains, and personality test. IAS releases separate cutoffs for each stage of the IAS exam. The stages of the UPSC IAS cut off are as follows.
UPSC IAS prelims cutoff 2023 – UPSC will release the official prelims UPSC IAS cut-off 2023 along with the declaration of the final IAS result 2023. Some eminent coaching institutes release the UPSC CSE expected cut off on the same day of the IAS preliminary exam after analysis of the UPSC IAS exam paper. The IAS prelims exam has two papers – general studies 1 and 2.
General studies paper 2 minimum qualifying cutoff marks are prescribed by the UPSC in the UPSC IAS notification. Candidates need to secure 33% marks to clear the prelims GS paper 2. UPSC IAS mains cut off 2023 – Candidates clearing the IAS prelims cutoff 2023 are eligible to appear for the UPSC Civil Services mains examination 2023. UPSC IAS mains exam has 9 papers in a total of 1750 marks. The UPSC IAS mains cutoff marks are determined out of 1750.
In the UPSC IAS mains examination, only three times the number of candidates who qualify are eligible to participate in the UPSC IAS personality test. The cut-off for UPSC IAS mains does not take into account the marks obtained in Indian language and English language. UPSC IAS mains cutoff 2023 – The UPSC will determine the IAS cutoff for 2023 by taking into account candidates’ scores in both the IAS mains exam and the personality test. Subsequently, the final IAS cutoff will be utilized to assign candidates to various Group A and B services, such as IAS, IPS, IFS, IRS, and more. UPSC IAS Result 2023
Union Public Service Commission will declare the UPSC IAS prelims 2023 result online at upsc.gov.in. Candidates who clear the IAS prelims exam are eligible to appear for the UPSC IAS mains exam and so on. After completing the UPSC IAS selection process in 2023, the UPSC IAS result for the year 2023 will be released. And the final UPSC CSE result will be based on the marks obtained by candidates in the IAS mains exam and personality test.
