UPSC CSE Main Exam 2023: The Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) is scheduled to hold the Civil Services Examination (CSE) Mains Examination 2023 starting from September 15, 2023. The commission has already released the IAS main admit card, which candidates can access on its official website at upsc.gov.in.

UPSC CSE Main Exam 2023 Update

The Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) is set to conduct the Civil Services Examination (CSE) Mains Examination for the year 2023, commencing on September 15, 2023. Candidates can now access their IAS main admit cards via the official UPSC website, upsc.gov.in. Additionally, comprehensive exam day guidelines have also been provided.

To ensure a smooth process, aspirants are strongly recommended to obtain a colored printout of their admit cards well in advance, minimizing last-minute complications. The UPSC CSE examination is scheduled for September 15, 16, 17, 23, and 24, 2023, and will be conducted in two shifts. The morning session is slated from 9 AM to 12 Noon, while the afternoon session is scheduled from 2 PM to 5 PM.

Reporting Time

Candidates must ensure they carry their UPSC CSE admit card and a valid photo ID proof as it is mandatory for entry. To adhere to the examination schedule, candidates are required to report to the examination hall at least 30 minutes before the scheduled start of the written exam for each session. It’s important to note that the examination hall will be closed 10 minutes prior to the commencement of the exam, so candidates should plan their arrival accordingly.

Exam Day Guidelines

  1. Candidates must carry the e-Admit card (printout), along with the (original) Photo Identity Card.
  2. Aspirants can report at examination hall 30 minutes before the scheduled commencement.
  3. No candidate will be allowed to enter the examination hall after the scheduled commencement of the written exam.
  4. Candidates are not allowed to carry any barred items such as mobile phones, smart watches, calculators, Bluetooth devices, or any other electronic device.
  5. Aspirants should avoid carrying Jewelry or ornaments or any kind of metallic items or any cloth or items containing metal inside the exam hall.
  6. Candidates will not be allowed to leave the examination hall until the completion of exam.
