Released

The UGC NET Application Form 2023 was officially released by the NTA on September 30, 2023. Candidates have the opportunity to begin their application process for the UGC NET Exam 2023 December Cycle, with the deadline set for October 28, 2023. The UGC NET Exam for 2023 is slated to take place from December 6th to December 22nd, 2023.

Overview

The University Grants Commission National Eligibility Test (UGC NET) is administered by the National Testing Agency (NTA) acting on behalf of the University Grants Commission (UGC). This examination, conducted by UGC, serves as a comprehensive eligibility assessment for candidates aspiring to become Assistant Professors and pursue a PhD program across India. How to Fill Up for UGC NET Application Form 2023?

UGC NET Online Application Form 2023 has been live now. To fill out UGC NET Form 2023, candidates need to follow the given steps below.

Step I: Registration Page

Fill in the basic information in the UGC NET Application Form Date 2023 and note down the system-generated Application No.

• (i) Candidate’s Name/ Mother’s Name/ Father’s Name as given in the Secondary School Examination or equivalent Board/University Certificate in capital letters
• (ii) Date of Birth in dd/mm/yyyy format as mentioned in Secondary School Examination or equivalent Board/ University certificate.
• (iii) Mobile Number and e-mail Address – Candidates must provide their own Mobile Number and e-mail address.

Step II: Fill in the complete Application Form:

The applicant fills in all the required credentials in the form.

• Personal information: includes, name, gender, parents’ name, mobile number, email address, date of birth, etc.
• Permanent address: includes address, pin code, state code district, etc.
• Educational Qualification: the applicant is required to fill in the details of educational qualification which include the Name of the Course, Name of the College, Year of Passing, percentage of marks required, etc.
• After all the details are filled in, candidates need to click on the “Next” button.

Step III: Uploading of scanned images & Signature

• The candidate’s Photograph & Signature should be in JPG/JPEG format only
• The size of the scanned image of the photograph should be between 10kb to 200kb. The photograph need not be attested.
• The size of the scanned image of the signature should be between 4kb to 30kb. The candidate should put his full signature in running handwriting on white paper with a Black Ink pen and scan it for uploading.
• Spectacles are allowed only if being used regularly.
• Polaroid and Computer-generated photos are not acceptable.
• The same Passport size photograph is to be used for uploading with the Online UGC NET Application Form and for pasting on the Attendance Sheet at the Examination Centre.

Step IV: Payment of Fee and Status of Receipt of UGC NET Online Application Form with Fee.

• Make a payment of fee through SBI /Syndicate/HDFC /ICICI Payment Gateway (Debit/Credit Card or Net Banking/Paytm) and keep proof of fee paid.
• Download save and print a copy of the Confirmation Page after successful remittance of the fee for your record and future reference.
• All the steps for submission of the Online UGC NET Application Form, Uploading of the Candidate’s photograph, Candidate’s signature, Payment of fee, and Printing of the Confirmation Page can also be done separately.
• Once finally submitted, particulars in certain specific fields may be changed only during the correction window.

Important Points

The process of the UGC NET online application will consist of four steps. Aspirants should keep in mind the below:

• Only one application is to be submitted by a candidate. More than one application i.e. multiple Application Forms submitted by a candidate will not be accepted
• The medium of the Question Paper shall be in English & Hindi only.
• Each question carries 02 (two) marks and for each correct response, the candidate will get 02 (two) marks.
• There is no negative marking for an incorrect response.
• No marks will be given for questions un-answered/un-attempted/marked for Review.
• The UGC NET officials will provide candidates with a chance to edit their online applications.
• The candidate’s Photograph and Signature should be in JPG/JPEG format only
• The size of the scanned image of the photograph should be between 10kb to 200kb. The photograph need not be attested.
• The size of the scanned image of the signature should be between 4kb to 30kb. The candidate should put his full signature in running handwriting on white paper with a Black Ink pen and scan it for uploading.
• Do not send the printout of the confirmation page to the authority office.

Application Fee 2023

The UGC NET 2023 Application Fee varies depending on the candidate’s category. It’s important to note that once paid, the application fee is non-refundable and non-transferable under any circumstances. Applicants have the option to make the payment online using Credit Card, Debit Card, or Net banking. Alternatively, they can also utilize a bank challan, either in-person at a branch or through an online transaction. The UGC NET Application Fees for 2023 are as follows: Rs. 1150/- for the General category, Rs. 600/- for the OBC Category, and Rs. 325/- for the SC Category.

Correction Window

The UGC NET Application Process is set to conclude on October 28, 2023. Following this, the National Testing Agency (NTA) will initiate the correction window for the UGC NET Application Form. Registered candidates will have the opportunity to make corrections between October 30, 2023, and October 31, 2023.

Correction Link

The NTA will offer candidates the opportunity to correct their UGC NET December 2023 application form. Candidates are permitted to make corrections within the specified timeframe. After this period, NTA will not entertain any requests for corrections under any circumstances. • Candidates must log in using their application number and password
• Click on the link/button available for the UGC NET application form correction link
• Read the instructions and click on the ‘I Agree checkbox
• Click on the Proceed for UGC NET Application button
• Make the necessary changes in the application form
• Click on the Submit button
• Review the corrections made and click on the checkboxes given at the bottom of the page
• Submit & take a printout of the revised Confirmation Page’
