Elements of Weather and Climate

The weather and climate of a location are affects by a variety of factors and elements. All elements of atmospheric pressure, humidity, wind, temperature, and precipitation must be ideal for ideal climatic conditions.

The factors that affect climate are latitude, altitude, pressure, wind system, distance from the sea, ocean currents, and relief features.

  • Latitude: Latitude is the distance north or south of the equator, measured along the meridian of that place as an angle from the center of the earth.
  • Altitude: A variety of factors and elements affect the weather and climate of a location.
