About National Programme for Organic Production
It was launched during 2001 and laid the foundation for systematic development of the organic agriculture sector in the country. It is a key government program that strengthens India’s organic certification system, promoting sustainable farming practices and opening new opportunities for farmers and exporters.
Implementing agency: The Agricultural and Processed Food Products Export Development Authority (APEDA), Ministry of Commerce & Industries, Government of India is implementing this program.

MachNumber: It is defined as the ratio of speed of sound source to the speed of sound in the same medium under the same condition of temperature and pressure.
If match number >1, body is supersonic.
If match number >5, body is called hypersonic.
If match number < 1 -the body is said to be moving with subsonic speed.
