Preliminary Examination
The Preliminary Examination will cover topics including:
- General legal knowledge and aptitude

- The Code of Criminal Procedure, 1973
- The Indian Penal Code
- The Indian Contract Act, 1872
- The Limited Liability Partnership Act, 2008
- The Arbitration and Conciliation Act, 1996

- The Limitation Act, 1963
- The Protection of Children from Sexual Offences Act, 2012
- The Commercial Courts Act, 2015
Mains Examination
The Mains Examination consists of multiple sections, each with its respective marks:
- General Legal Knowledge – 100 marks
- Language (Essay, Translation, and Precis Writing) – 150 marks
- Civil Law I – 200 marks
- Civil Law II – 200 marks
- Civil Law III – 200 marks
Note: The duration of the exam varies for each section.
Pay Scale
Candidates who qualify all stages will be appointed as Civil Judges in the Delhi High Court. The pay scale for Delhi Judicial Services is Rs. 77,840 to Rs. 1,36,520.
