Which is the Best UPPCS Post?

In the official advertisements, the Commission describes all of the UPPCS posts in detail in the official advertisements. Some positions are prevalent among candidates because of the powers, pay level, and scope of responsibilities associated with the posts. Some of the best UPPCS posts list is mentioned below –

#1 Deputy Collector

A Deputy Collector is a state administrative service officer in charge of revenue collection and sub-division administration. Even though deputy collectors are executive magistrates, the position is also known as Sub-Divisional Magistrate. The office-bearer works under the supervision of a District Collector and assists them in day-to-day operations. Deputy collectors/deputy district collectors are typically Revenue Divisional Officers (RDOs) who report to the Additional District Collector (who is overall in charge of the revenue department for the district). #2 Superintendent of Police

The second most popular UPPCS post is Superintendent of Police (SP). After IPS officers and Senior State Police Service Officers, he is the second most powerful person in the district police. The district is divided into cardinal area directions and other names such as Sadar area, City area, and Rural Areas. Officers assigned to such sites are referred to as SP city, SP rural, and so on. These officers collaborate with IPS officers and the district’s lower police force to maintain law and order.

SP is in charge of several police stations. SP cooperates with other SPs, Police Inspectors, and Sub-Inspectors to maintain Law and Order and conduct investigations. Due to the apparent Police powers associated with the position, this post is very popular among candidates.

#3 Sub-Divisional Magistrate

Sub Divisional Magistrate, or SDM, is the highest post in the UPPSC PCS exam. This post is considered one of the best in the UPPCS Exam. After a certain period of service, SDMs are eligible for promotion to IAS. After the DM and SSP, the SDM is the most influential person in the district. The district has several SDMs, each assigned to a department.

SDM Law and Order is in charge of maintaining law and order in the district. He is only second in the district for police administration to the DM. For Law and Order purposes, he has direct contact with the Superintendent of Police. This post is equivalent to IAS at the central level.

#4 Block Development Officer

The position of Block Development Officer (BDO) is also popular among candidates. BDO works in rural and semi-urban areas where the Block is present. All development work in the Block is done solely through BDO. He is the block’s administrative leader. BDO is crucial to the state’s various state and federal government schemes.

#5 Commercial Tax Officer

The Commercial Tax Officer (CTO) is the hub of the district’s tax machinery. He is in charge of the taxation of commercial entities in the district and the administration and implementation of tax laws in the area. He has the authority to issue the challan to the erring entities for them to comply with the state’s tax laws. It’s one of the most popular UPPCS posts among candidates with a Commerce background.
