Previously, the PET for UKPSC Forest Guard 2022 was initially scheduled to occur from August 23 to 26, 2023.
What is UKPSC Exam?
UKPSC Civil Service Exam is held to select candidates for numerous positions within State Government departments. The complete form of the UKPSC exam stands for the Uttarakhand Public Service Commission exam. Additionally, the Commission administers several other examinations for State Government establishments.
The Uttarakhand Public Service Commission (UKPSC) is entrusted with the responsibility of organizing Civil Service Examinations specific to Uttarakhand. This examination by the commission unfolds in two key phases – the preliminary stage for upper subordinate positions, commonly referred to as prelims, and the subsequent main examination for upper subordinate roles, known as mains.
A candidate should be an Indian citizen and should have at least 3 years’ Bachelor’s degree to be eligible for the UKPSC exams. When also should be at least 21 years old to be eligible for the exams.

UKPSC 2023: Selection Process
The selection of the candidates is done in three stages:
- Stage 1 prelims exams: The first stage of the psc exam in Uttarakhand is the prelims exam where the candidate has to give two papers of general studies and an aptitude test. If the candidate passes the exam the candidate is eligible for the mains exam.
- Stage 2 mains exam: the second stage of the psc exam in Uttarakhand is the mains exam where the candidate has to give 7 papers. The candidate will be selected based on the cutoff released by the board. The top candidate of the list would be selected for the interview stage
- Stage 3 interview: the candidates who have passed the last two stages successfully are eligible to give interviews conducted by the board. The interview is also of 200 marks in total. The candidate would be selected on a merit basis. If the candidate get passes in an interview the candidate will go under few months of training before working full term
UKPSC 2023: Exam Pattern
The UKPSC is a two-tier examination. According to the UKPSC exam pattern, candidates have to clear the Prelims as well as the Mains examination for the final selection. The candidates who qualify in the Preliminary exam are shortlisted for the Mains exam. After qualifying for the Mains exam, the candidate will be interviewed and be sent for training, if selected after the interview.
UKPSC Prelims 2023 Exam Pattern
The preliminary exam is an offline-based exam that contains 2 papers. The exam is conducted offline and both the papers contain objective-type questions.
The first paper is general studies paper. Each question contains 1 mark. The second paper is for testing the aptitude of the student and contains 100 questions. Each question contains 1.5 marks.

UKPSC 2023: Cutoff
The commission announces the cutoff result. If the candidate scores more or equal to the cutoff marks the candidate is deemed to be passed. Most of the time the candidate scoring the top marks is selected for an interview. So, the student should aim at scoring the highest marks possible
