UKPSC Recruitment 2023: Notification, Exam Schedule, Admit Card, and Syllabus

The official website has released a notification regarding the postponement of the UKPSC Forest Guard 2022 PET. As indicated by the UKPSC notification, the PET/PST for UKPSC Forest Guard 2022 will now take place in October. Previously, the PET for UKPSC Forest Guard 2022 was initially scheduled to occur from August 23 to 26, 2023.

What is UKPSC Exam?

UKPSC Civil Service Exam is held to select candidates for numerous positions within State Government departments. The complete form of the UKPSC exam stands for the Uttarakhand Public Service Commission exam. Additionally, the Commission administers several other examinations for State Government establishments.

The Uttarakhand Public Service Commission (UKPSC) is entrusted with the responsibility of organizing Civil Service Examinations specific to Uttarakhand. This examination by the commission unfolds in two key phases – the preliminary stage for upper subordinate positions, commonly referred to as prelims, and the subsequent main examination for upper subordinate roles, known as mains.

A candidate should be an Indian citizen and should have at least 3 years’ Bachelor’s degree to be eligible for the UKPSC exams. When also should be at least 21 years old to be eligible for the exams.

UKPSC 2023: Application Form

The details of the UKPSC application form of prelims and mains exams are mentioned on the official website. The application form will be made available online on the official website of UKPSC. Following are the steps to apply to the official website:

Step 1: Visit the official website of UKPSC at https://ukpsc.gov.in/.

Step 2: Click on the “apply online” option.

Step 3: Click on new registration and fill out necessary details such as name, date of birth, address, Aadhar card, mobile number, email id, class 10th,12th, and graduation details, and other such details.

Step 4: After registration, the candidate will receive system-generated login credentials for further application.

Step 5: Log in using your credentials and click on apply now.

Step 6: Fill in the mandatory details and select the language for the examination and exam centre.

Step 7: Upload the passport size, signature, caste category certificate (if any), and other mandatory documents.

Step 8: Pay the required application fees through digital payment such as debit card, credit card, internet banking, mobile wallets, etc.

Step 9: After payment of fees, print the application form for any future reference.

UKPSC Mains Exam Centre 2023

UKPSC 2023: Selection Process

The selection of the candidates is done in three stages:

  • Stage 1 prelims exams: The first stage of the psc exam in Uttarakhand is the prelims exam where the candidate has to give two papers of general studies and an aptitude test. If the candidate passes the exam the candidate is eligible for the mains exam.
  • Stage 2 mains exam: the second stage of the psc exam in Uttarakhand is the mains exam where the candidate has to give 7 papers. The candidate will be selected based on the cutoff released by the board. The top candidate of the list would be selected for the interview stage
  • Stage 3 interview: the candidates who have passed the last two stages successfully are eligible to give interviews conducted by the board. The interview is also of 200 marks in total. The candidate would be selected on a merit basis. If the candidate get passes in an interview the candidate will go under few months of training before working full term

UKPSC 2023: Exam Pattern

The UKPSC is a two-tier examination. According to the UKPSC exam pattern, candidates have to clear the Prelims as well as the Mains examination for the final selection. The candidates who qualify in the Preliminary exam are shortlisted for the Mains exam. After qualifying for the Mains exam, the candidate will be interviewed and be sent for training, if selected after the interview.

UKPSC Prelims 2023 Exam Pattern

The preliminary exam is an offline-based exam that contains 2 papers. The exam is conducted offline and both the papers contain objective-type questions.

The first paper is general studies paper. Each question contains 1 mark. The second paper is for testing the aptitude of the student and contains 100 questions. Each question contains 1.5 marks.

UKPSC Mains 2023 Exam Pattern

The candidates who qualify cutoff marks in the UKPSC Prelims Exam are further shortlisted for the mains exam.

  • The mains exam is a subject paper taken through an offline mode exam.
  • It contains seven papers of 200 marks each, except for the language paper which has 300 marks.
  • All the papers contain Subjective type questions.
  • Every correct answer contains 1.5 marks.
  • The total duration of the exam is 3 hours.

The UKPSC declares the results of the UKPSC Prelims and Mains soon on its website. The commission declares the marks of the candidates as well as the minimum cutoff marks for qualifying the exam in different categories. UKPSC 2023: Cutoff

The commission announces the cutoff result. If the candidate scores more or equal to the cutoff marks the candidate is deemed to be passed. Most of the time the candidate scoring the top marks is selected for an interview. So, the student should aim at scoring the highest marks possible

The following table shows the minimum qualifying marks that the candidates have to score in order to pass the exam. However, passing the exam doesn’t guarantee eligibility for the next round. The candidates have to achieve the minimum cutoff marks to be called for the next round.
