CHAMPIONS 2.0 Portal: On International MSME Day, Shri Narayan Rane, the Union Minister for MSME, unveiled significant measures. ‘CHAMPIONS 2.0 Portal’ for MSME assistance and a mobile app for cluster geotagging were a few of these.

Introduction

The Ministry of Micro, Small & Medium Enterprises (MSME) held a special event to commemorate “Udyami Bharat-MSME Day” on the occasion of International MSME Day. Shri Narayan Rane, the Union Minister for MSME, has introduced a number of measures to support the expansion and improvement of MSMEs in India. MSMEs played a key part in the nation’s economy, and Shri Bhanu Pratap Singh Verma, the Union Minister of State for MSME, was present at the occasion.

Importance of MSMEs

Shri Narayan Rane emphasised the critical contribution MSMEs make to the GDP and exports of the nation. He stated the aim that by 2030, MSMEs will make up 50% of India’s GDP. He urged everyone to work towards making India a USD 5 trillion economy because he saw their potential.

Launch of CHAMPIONS 2.0 Portal

Shri Narayan Rane inaugurated the “CHAMPIONS 2.0 Portal” as a part of the efforts. This platform strives to support and help MSMEs by successfully resolving their issues and complaints. The site acts as a central point of contact for MSMEs looking to resolve disputes, share expertise, and encourage innovation.

Mobile App for Geo-tagging of Cluster Projects and Technology

Centers The “Mobile App for Geo-tagging of Cluster Projects and Technology Centres” unveiling was another noteworthy event. This tool makes it easier to geotag numerous MSMEs-related initiatives and technological hubs. It promotes efficient resource use while enhancing transparency, monitoring, and assessment procedures.

MSME Idea Hackathon 3.0 for Women Entrepreneurs

The ‘MSME Idea Hackathon 3.0’ was launched in an effort to support female entrepreneurs in the MSME sector. Women entrepreneurs may display their creative ideas and solutions on this hackathon’s platform. It promotes their involvement in the expansion and improvement of the MSME ecosystem.
