Introduction
Rajat Verma has been named managing director and head of institutional banking at DBS Bank India. Niraj Mittal, who is now in charge of institutional banking, just assumed the position of country head of DBS Bank in Australia. According to the bank, Mittal will concentrate on expanding the DBS franchise there, particularly strengthening ties with South Asia and Southeast Asia.
Verma was most recently the managing director and country head of commercial banking for India at HSBC India. According to the statement, Verma brings to DBS a plethora of experience and in-depth industry expertise. He graduated from Delhi College of Engineering with a Bachelor of Electrical Engineering and the Indian Institute of Management, Lucknow, with an MBA.
