UPSC Interview Process 2024

The UPSC Interview stage is distinct from the other stages as it primarily assesses personality rather than academic knowledge. Below is an outline of the process:

DAF II Submission and E-Call Letter: Candidates must fill out the Detailed Application Form II (DAF II) with information about service preferences, cadre choices, hobbies, and more. An e-call letter with interview details will be issued.

Document Verification: Upon arrival at the UPSC venue, candidates undergo a document verification process.

Seating Arrangement: Candidates are grouped in a circular hall and assigned to specific panels.

Interview Session: Each session involves 4-5 panels, with a chairman and experts evaluating 5-6 candidates per session. Sessions last 20-30 minutes.
