UPSC Toppers 2023 Out: The Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) has released the UPSC Toppers List 2023 along with the declaration of UPSC Final Result 2022-23 on 23rd May 2023. Girls performed brilliantly in UPSC CSE 2022 Exam as the top 4 ranks are bagged by women. The topper Ishita Kishore is followed by Garima Lohia, Uma Harathi N, and Smriti Mishra.
The selected candidates based on the merit list are selected for the Indian Administrative Service, Indian Foreign Service, and Indian Police Service; and Central Services, Group ‘A’ and Group ‘B’. UPSC Toppers 2023
This year, after the rollback of IRTS to Civil Services 2022, the number of reported vacancies is increased to 1022, the highest in the last few years. Through UPSC CSE 2022 Exam, 933 candidates have been recommended for appointment and 178 are kept under the reserve list. Apart from this, the UPSC 2022 Final Result pdf also includes roll numbers of 101 recommended candidates with provisional selection. - This is the second year in a row that female candidates secured the top three positions in one of India’s most prestigious examinations.
- UPSC Civil Services Examination is conducted annually in three stages – Prelims, Main, and Interview (personality test) – to select officers for Indian Administrative Service (IAS), Indian Foreign Service (IFS), Indian Police Service (IPS), and other central services group A, B posts.
- A total of 933 candidates have been recommended for appointment to these services after three stages of the selection process.
- Of the total recommended candidates, 345 belong to the general category, 99 are from EWS, 263 are OBC, 154 are SC and 72 are ST candidates, the commission has informed.
- The candidature of 101 recommended candidates is provisional, the commission said. The roll number-wise list has been published in the result document.
